Gaining money for losing weight

Gaining money by losing weight? Yeah, I thought that might grab your attention!

Do you ever pass by a mirror and you stop to look? As you're looking, you wonder weight happened? Yeah that happens to me, often! Although I know what happened. I enjoy food way too much and it has definitely taken root in my.......well you get the picture.
Since the beginning of the year my immediate family has talked about starting a Biggest Loser competition of our own. Four competitors, one mutual goal. This weekend that competition has begun. Yesterday we all got together and agreed that we're sick of our current weight status and need help improving our overall health. The rules, guidelines and time lines have been established. Agreements have been made and the competition is under way. Money is at stake as well as our health.
Today we all met up at my mothers and weighed ourselves for our starting point. Each Saturday morning we are to meet back up at my moms for our weekly "weigh in". Everyone is to pay a few bucks each week and the one with the greater weight loss for that Saturday wins the money pot for that week. If you're the one that lost the most, you get paid for it at the others expense. We agreed to do this competition for six months. At the end of six months the one with the greatest weight loss, wins the final money pot (all of us had to put in an initial fee as well).
I'm really excited and I really hope this is the fire that starts great results for me....again! I have had struggles with weight since having my four babies and I've definitely had the up and downs of losing weight. This time more family can keep me accountable for the fear of them taking my money. Do I want to lose weight to be healthy? You betcha! Do I want to lose weight to earn some extra mu la from home? Oh Yeah!! Bring it on!! I'll try to post my good or bad, pretty or ugly results on Saturdays after the weigh in meetings.
