Our Decision to Homeschool

I'm a homeschooling Mom. We are a homeschooling family.

We have been homeschooling our four children for about eight years now. Originally it was my Husbands idea for us to homeschool, at the time I wasn't really aware of the endless possibilities and blessings that homeschooling could bring. After much consideration - and a lot of praying, I felt moved and called to homeschool. And so the journey began.

It was hard at first and without much needed support it became sort of a struggle especially through my mind and heart - constantly questioning whether or not we were doing the right thing. We stuck with it, asking and seeking the Lord for direction and guidance. It had its challenges as we got into our "groove", but nonetheless it has been a rich blessing. A blessing which I will cherish and be thankful for for the rest of my life.

I choose to homeschool our children because I feel it is our way through education to honor God. I choose to homeschool our children in order not to be a part of this dark world. As part of homeschooling, I believe it is our best way to educate, encourage and equip our children for the future following God's ways. Being homeschooled doesn't mean isolation, rather freedom from the dangerous influences of this world.

Please contact me if you are considering homeschooling and have concerns, or if I may be of any assistance. Homeschooling support is so crucial - we need to be an encouragement to one another.
