Waves and Review

There is no specific reason as to why I posted pictures of waves tonight except that earlier when I went to add music to my blog, I found this first song, hopefully you can hear it, (Beethoven-Piano Concerto No.5 ....I just love Beethoven's music) and it really reminded me of being by the waves. Being by the water is so peaceful and relaxing. Getting away from the city and taking a breath of the fresh air of nature. I just close my eyes, listen to this first song and just imagine the waves crashing.
I'm also thinking that this song reminds me of an ending to a really sad movie.....Actually it reminds me of the ending of the movie Cast Away for some reason. When Tom Hanks and Helen Hunt are in front of her new place, towards the end of the movie. When both of them realize that they are each other's true love but they can no longer can have each other because she [Kelly: Helen Hunt] moved on, married another man thinking he [Chuck: Tom Hanks] was dead from a plane crash.
Ok I just loaded the movie in and the part at the end of the movie when he pulls up to her new home, and again when he drives away I believe this song is playing. I'm going to have to do more researching but wow these songs sure do sound very similar! I cry every time that part of the movie comes on. Just thinking of what it must have been like for her in that position, currently married to her husband and yet always thinking of the man she was truly in love with from the beginning and not having true closer but only to have him show up at her door step some time down the road. Yeah the movie in general is slow and can make you fall asleep but I like the beginning and the ending. Well that's my movie review I guess.
Glad to share my cup of coffee with you. Until next time...

  2. Hi Amy,
I got behind on reading these :) You're doing a great job on writing these! Makes me want to start a blog. In fact, I started one, but never have time to write in it haha! Anyways, love this song and understand your love of waves and water in general. Grand Haven is where I go to detoxify myself and reflect. :)

  3. I love these pictures. The water, the sound of water, pictures of water... are so refreshing to me. And so remind me of the power of the God who created them and the power of the God who parted them for the Israelites. The power of the God who put the water in the sky and the God who brought it down in judgment upon Noah's peers.

    Thanks for sharing!

  4. Amy, Great pics:) I love the water. We go boating all summer long. I am already missing summer. We rarely get to go to the beach, but when we do I love it. Nothing is more relaxing than walking with your family and shelling.

I really enjoyed Cast Away... Love that pic of Angel Wings in it. I would love to see a part two. Thanks for sharing, Audrey
