Oh sNOw

Today I'm enjoying my cup of coffee inside. Along with a warm fireplace and family, {including my husband} by my side.
We are snowed in!!
Yesterday a blizzard started roaring through our area. Meteorologists have been forecasting this storm for a couple of days now. Most of us are folks who "believe it when we see it". Well today we woke up seeing it. A lot of it for that matter.
Snow!! 16 inches of snow!!
We ended up getting 16 inches of....SNOW!!

We had a hard time opening the door.

The Lord has His way of keeping His people home.

We stayed home.

And so my husband went shoveling....

and shoveling....

and shoveling....and yet, still shoveling.
Here the boys went out and gave it a try making a path for our dog. Our neighbor friend came by and finished our driveway with his snow blower. But then after he finished blowing everyone else's driveway he went to tackle his own. At that time his blower died. So my husband and our boys went and cleared out his driveway.

We have enjoyed this day {which the Lord has made} but we're really looking forward to spring!!

  1. I think God gives us snow so that we'll take the time to slow down and be still for a few. :) Pretty tame here at the moment in Iowa. Just a typical winter day in Iowa...bitter cold, fierce wind and drifting snow. :) Be safe and stay warm!!

  3. How funny. Everyone but us is snowed under. We were to get two days of bad weather and didn't even see a flake! Enjoy the fun.
